In high school I attended an artistic school, Escola Artística António Arroio. For the final assessment, I chose my project to be the graphic identity of a restaurant. It was no mere restaurant, it would have comedian stand-up shows while the costumers were enjoying their dinner.
Having the concept of fun in mind, I adapted the portuguese expression partir o côco a rir. Roughly translated, it means “to break the coconut while laughing”, which is to burst out! I changed the coconut to an egg, I mean, why not? I find the egg funnier. In fact, there is a punctual joke in most of the branding objects, just like shown on the envelope.
